Using the Console, you can use the built-in expression parser to evaluate simple mathematical expressions such as "2+2". More complex operations, such as the die operator which rolls a certain number of dice (of any number of sides) and totals the value and comparison operations, such as greater than, are also available. Most powerful of all, you can use the expression parser to retrieve the value of and set the value of properties in selected objects.
To open the Console,
The column of buttons to the left of the expression result table gives you quick access to roll commonly-used dice. To roll one of the dice,
To evaluate an expression,
If you find that you use a particular expression regularly, you can add the expression to the pop-up menu. Choose Modify This Menu from the pop-up. In the window that opens, you can add expressions to, edit existing expressions in, or remove expressions from the menu.
